Bulk-billed IVF packages only incur out-of-pocket costs listed below. Tailored IVF treatment generally has a cost of $3,550 after the Medicare rebate (for those who are eligible) plus the out-of-pocket costs listed below.

Most patients going through 1 cycle of IVF require an initial consultation, follow-up consultation, medication, hospital day surgery fees, anaesthetist fees and storage of embryos if there are additional embryos that haven’t been implanted. As an estimate, this may cost approximately $2,690 out-of-pocket per cycle, on top of the cost of treatment.
